Frequently asked questions
- 01
This all depends on the size, style and number of windows and/or doors ordered. Our prices are competitive, but every job is unique. There are never any hidden extras – the quote we give you is the price you’ll pay.
- 02
Talk to us if you’re getting draughts, you have cracked or broken glass, there’s mist in your sealed units, you have loose handles, locking or security issues or the PVCu is discoloured. As a rule of thumb, if your existing windows and/or doors are more than 10-15 years old, it’s worth considering replacements.
- 03
Condensation happens when moisture in the air strikes a cold surface. New windows are thermally efficient, which means that there is less of that cool surface, so less condensation occurs. The trick to defeating condensation (which is a natural phenomenon) is to create an environment with the appropriate ventilation and level of internal heating. If you discover condensation inside a sealed unit, the sealed unit will need replacing.

This varies, but we normally say between five and eight weeks.

We ask for a 25% deposit at the point of sale and the remainder of the balance upon completion of the work. Prompt payment is always appreciated and we accept bank transfers, online payments, cheques or cash.

All our PVCu windows and doors are manufactured by Genius Tradeframes, right here in Norfolk. Their standards of craftsmanship are superb – we wouldn’t work with anything less. Our aluminium products are supplied by BDW Aluminium in Norwich, they have the same vision and customer service as we do.

We can offer a very wide range of colours, depending on the requirements of the job and your own style choices. We’ll discuss all the options when we visit you at home, or you can give us a call on 01603 716022.

The main difference is in the construction of the doors. Our PVCu doors are made from Kömmerling profile, which is then welded and reinforced with galvanised steel. Composite doors are made of two slabs of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) with a reinforced foam core.
We design our own PVCu doors, which means we can offer you bespoke options, including colour and woodgrain finish. Composite doors come in a wide range of colours with a woodgrain finish as standard. Both kinds of door are fitted with a multi-point locking system.

It depends on the size of the job, and we’ll always confirm with you how long we expect to take before we start work. You can be assured that once our fitters have begun work in your home, they will remain there until the job is completed.
- 13
Our fitters pride themselves on their tidiness and will bring dustsheets and clear up thoroughly afterwards. All you need to do is ensure they have space inside to work next to the window (a 1-metre clearance should be enough) and that they have similar access from the outside.

We offer a 10-year, insurance backed guarantee through the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF). We’re always on hand to answer your questions, though, so don’t hesitate to give us a ring if there’s anything you’re not sure about.
